This week's reading is to select a Journal Article from the current issue of ISTE Learning and Leading with Technology. Download the article, save to your flash drive, and post a summary reflection to your Blog. Remember to include APA reference for the article on your blog post.

You'll also respond to blog posts from two other members of your group.

Week 7

This week we've taken a brief look at the Common Core standards and assessment. If the way our students are being assessed is changing, should the way we grade assignments be different also?

This week, two members of your group will read one of the options below.  The other two members of your group will read article two.  Instead of sharing your thought directly in your blog post, you will use a VoiceThread to share your thoughts on the what you've read you read.  You will then comment on the VoiceThreads of the two group members who had the other option.

Option 1 - "From Degrading to De-Grading" by Alfie KohnIs there value in a GRADE? Are they still important? Why or why not?

Option 2 - After watching the video based on your level and researching more on the Common Core Initiative, what would you identify as an advantage in this movement, and what would be a roadblock to the implementation?
